Through Ancestry.com she connected with former Newark resident Kay Ermo, now a New Hampshire resident. Sharing notes, they found a common ancestor -- William Brewster, a passenger on the 1620 Mayflower voyage. Chris and Kay submitted an application to the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Ohio. Eight months later, Kay received her certificate.
