If you know that your ancestors were in the County of Licking in the 1820 census or before, we would like you to share your family information with this Society, and help complete our Licking County

Pioneer file. Everyone is encouraged to participate. No Proof of descent is necessary to submit pioneer information.

The Cost of the membership is only $10.00 plus you need to be a member of the Licking County Genealogical Society.

The Pioneer file will provide new and, potentially valuable, genealogical data and

historical information about the places of origin and migration patterns of early Licking County settlers.

A prestigious lineage society founded by The Ohio Genealogical Society and adopted by the Licking County Genealogical Society to honor Licking County Civil War Soldiers. To qualify for membership, you must be a member of The Licking County Genealogical Society and prove your direct descent from a Licking County Civil War soldier, or the sibling of such soldier. Qualifying soldiers are those who were born, lived, or died in Licking County Ohio, or who served in a Licking County Ohio Unit, male or female, Union or Confederate. 

Must be documented from you back to your Civil War Ancestor. Only primary documentation will be accepted. Birth, Death, Marriage, and Military Service must be documented with proof of all entries on the form, and copies of such must accompany the application form to be submitted to the SCWFLC committee to review for membership.

The Cost of the membership is only $15.00 plus you need to be a member of the Licking County Genealogical Society.

All applications and supporting documentation are preserved at the Licking County Genealogical Society library.

Any member of the Ohio Genealogical Society (OGS) who is a direct descendant of an individual that  settled in the area now encompassed by the State of Ohio between 1  January 1803 and 31 December 1820 may become a member of the

 First  Families of Ohio (FFO).

All FFO society applications must be accompanied by proof of descent  and the payment of a non-refundable application fee. Applications must  first be approved by the appropriate lineage society committee and then  by the Ohio Genealogical Society’s Board of Trustees.

The Cost of the membership is only $10.00 plus you need to be a member of the Licking County Genealogical Society, and the Ohio Genealogical Society.
